The £6.1m redevelopment of the former Bus Station and Offices in Whitehaven was officially opened today by Bobby Taylor (10) a local schoolboy from Bransty Primary School.

Bobby enjoyed the first ever breakfast in The Peddler before cutting the ribbon held by our delivery partners Craig Lowery of Osprey Management Group who operate The Peddler restaurant and John McAllister and Clare Flay of Barclays who operate the Eagle Labs proposition.

Also in attendance were local Mayor, Mike Starkie; MP for Copeland, Trudy Harrison; BEC Chief Executive, Michael Pemberton; BEC Chairman, Nigel Catterson and representatives from Sellafield Ltd Social Impact Team, Tracey West and Gary McKeating. The Bus Station redevelopment was designed by architects NORR, managed by Summers Inman and delivered by local company, Thomas Armstrong Construction.
