We acquired the warehouse in 2017 alongside the former Bus Station and Bus Depot sites at Bransty Row, Whitehaven. Thje former warehouse is a large, empty, urban space, located in a prime position at the Northern Gateway to Whitehaven. Using modular build solutions we are redeveloping the building to offer music studios, practice rooms and a performance space that will bring our community together.
We are working with local music charity Soundwave to redevelop the site as a creative music hub, an un-licensed venue offering a safe, social venue for all ages.
The venue will offer flexible space for performances, workshops, rehearsals and recording of music/podcasts and will be fully accessible for people with disabilities. Aligned to our sustainable development aspirations the redevelopment will make use of recycled materials and incorporates green energy into the design. We’re also working closely with acoustic engineers to ensure noise attenuation measures are in place. The scheme will: –
