BEC team support Phoenix Youth Project’s work awareness week

Every year youngsters at the Phoenix Youth Project in Cleator Moor take part in a week long work awareness project to give them a better understanding of the job market locally.

Within the week each supporting business takes a group of students aged 15-18 for half a day to give them an insight into what they do.

BEC were thrilled to take part this year and the students were given a warm welcome from our HR lead Paula Mewse before checking out projects at Westlakes and North Shore – with everything from artwork to recycling and sustainable development on the agenda.

We loved taking part in this and would encourage any local business to do the same.
