Iconic art-deco building with cool and contemporary styling, home to Eagle Labs Cumbria and The Peddler

Fifty co-working spaces, ten private offices, four meeting rooms, one maker space, Barclays Eagle Labs, The Peddler. ONE EXTRAORDINARY COMMUNITY.

The Bus Station was one of only two covered Bus Stations in the country when it first opened in 1931, serving the local community until its closure 71 years later in 2002. Derelict for almost 20 years, the Bus Station has been brought back to life for our local community.

With Sellafield Ltd Social Impact Multiplied Funding we worked with local contractor, Thomas Armstrong Construction Ltd to transform the derelict buildings and preserve the heritage of this beautiful building, prominently situated at the Northern Gateway to the town.

Now home to The Peddler, a one hundred and twenty five seat restaurant and Barclays Eagle Labs, a unique business enablement hub to support start-ups and entrepreneurs. This is not just another office.

The Bus Station is a hybrid space blending work, creativity, learning, food and drink in an inspiring and collaborative environment. The Bus Station supports start-ups and entrepreneurs to innovate, invent and thrive.

Together we’ve create real opportunities to build lasting partnerships, attract investment and unlock the potential in our communities ultimately building a diverse and sustainable local economy for Cumbria.
