At BEC, we’re committed to supporting our local communities with time and resources and we’ve committed to giving in-kind support equivalent to 2% of the rental income from our commercial property portfolio.
As part of our commitment to supporting our local community, we’ve provided local music based charity, Soundwave with a temporary home in Wastwater Pavilion at Westlakes Science Park following their departure from the Theatre Royal at Workington where Soundwave were based for over 8 years.
Longer term, we are working with Soundwave to secure their permanent home and we have exciting plans to transform the old warehouse next door to the Bus Station at Bransty Row, Whitehaven into a creative, music hub – a vibrant, social space for our local community – which Soundwave will operate as our delivery partners.
