      What is Revive?

Revive Furniture Recycling is a community interest company based in West Cumbria, dedicated to reducing waste, supporting local people, and making good-quality furniture accessible to those who need it most.

We collect unwanted furniture that would otherwise go to landfill, carefully assess it, and where possible clean, repair, and restore items so they can be reused.

Through this process, we help households, reduce environmental impact, and create opportunities for volunteering, skills development, and community connection.

      What We Do

      Furniture Recycling & Reuse

We collect donated furniture from homes, organisations, and businesses across the area. Items are cleaned, safety-checked, and restored where needed before being made available for reuse.

      Reducing Waste

By extending the life of furniture, Revive helps divert bulky waste from landfill, conserving resources and reducing carbon impact.

      Community Benefit

As a CIC, everything we do is for community benefit – supporting people on low incomes, providing volunteering opportunities, and contributing to a more sustainable local economy.

      Skills & Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in collections, refurbishing, warehousing, and logistics. Revive provides practical experience, confidence-building opportunities, and a supportive environment for people to learn new skills.

      How Revive Helps the Environment

Furniture waste is one of the largest contributors to landfill. Revive helps address this by:

      • Extending the usable life of furniture
      • Reducing demand for new furniture manufacturing
      • Cutting transport and disposal emissions
      • Promoting reuse as a first-choice option

Every item reused is one less item sent to landfill, and one more positive impact made.
