A strategic site located in the Northern Gateway to Whitehaven fronting onto Bransty Row and the upgraded harbour.
Acquired in 2015, the former Bus Depot site is in a prime location with easy access to transport links, the 18th century harbour and Whitehaven town centre and spectacular views over the marina and the Irish Sea.
Our vision is to re-develop the site as a circa. 69 room budget hotel that will stimulate the local economy, create new jobs and provide much needed accommodation for business and leisure tourism in the area.
The site occupies a high profile location on the main access route to the town from the North with terminating views from George Street and Bransty Row. The site is also viewed from the outer harbour, quayside and railway station making this a key development site in the town.
We are working closely with the local planning authority and architects NORR to ensure the design maximises this high visibility location at this important gateway to Whitehaven and creates a real sense of place.
